ConsultationDr. Bottary holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from Boston College and a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Widener University. He completed his APA-accredited internship at Widener University with clinical rotations at an inpatient psychiatric hospital and a college counseling center. He has provided individual, group, and family therapy and has worked extensively with individuals across the developmental spectrum. His clinical experience includes treating children and adults with depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, trauma, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders.
In therapy, Dr. Bottary takes a holistic, eclectic approach rooted in both cognitive behavioral and humanistic (person-centered) traditions. He offers a personalized, tailored approach to treatment, recognizing that each person’s needs are unique and that effective therapy requires ongoing collaboration. He provides therapy to individuals, couples, and families, and offers executive functioning coaching to those seeking support with focus, organization, and daily life challenges. He believes that continuous communication with all relevant stakeholders, including families, schools, or healthcare providers, is essential for delivering the best care possible.
